Inter CEO Beppe Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio are working hard in the transfer market, with multiple players being considered, according to a report from Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb today.

The report details how the first thing that the Nerazzurri management are working on his securing the signature of Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal.

The Chilean midfielder is very unhappy at being left on the bench against Real Madrid earlier this week and a move away from the Blaugrana now seems likely in January. Inter are hoping to deal will be completed in time for the game against Napoli on the 6th January.

Other midfielders are also being considered, the report highlights. These include Atalanta owned midfielder Dejan Kulusevski, although the Nerazzurri are looking to sign him for next summer instead. Gaetano Castrovilli of Fiorentina is also being closely monitored, although it seems unlikely that he’ll be acquired for the time being due to his importance to the Florence based club.

Inter are still looking for backup to striker Romelu Lukaku as well, the report continues. Considering the slow progress of the Olivier Giroud deal, the Nerazzurri may look to bring back Andrea Pinamonti from Genoa, even if the player is vital for the club due to the injury to Christian Kouamé.

The final role that Inter are looking to strengthen is the full back role, with Chelsea left back Marcos Alonso being the top choice, the report adds.

However, Inter are still considering Paris Saint Germain right back Thomas Meunier, who’s contract expires with the Parisian club in June and is currently not set to sign a renewal with the club.
