A report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport has praised the performance of Inter starlet Sebastiano Esposito.

The 17-year-old Italian scored his first goal for the Nerazzurri last night, the report details, in the 4-0 win over Genoa, thanks to a penalty gifted to him by teammate and mentor Romelu Lukaku. Esposito got to score his first goal in front of his mother and the Inter fans in the San Siro, capping off a great 2019 for the young talent.

The player is destined to have a strong career, the report highlights. He took the title of the youngest ever played to debut in a European Competition when he played in the Europa League in March, before being the youngest Inter player to play in the San Siro in the Champions League at only 17 years, 5 months and 19 days old, almost four months younger than the previous record holder Giuseppe Bergomi in 1981.

Esposito was also the second youngest Inter scorer ever in the San Siro, the report continues, being only 75 days older than the record holder Mario Corso. Finally, Esposito overtook Balotelli to be the youngest Inter player in Serie A in the 21st Century.
