Cagliari president Tomasso Giulini has shared his delight with how Radja Nainggolan has done during his loan from Inter but has admitted it will be ‘very difficult’ to keep a hold of him.

“We are satisfied. He is happy to be back at Cagliari and we are happy with his performances. He is a decisive leader on the park,” he explained in an interview with Italian radio show Radio Anch’io lo Sport on Radio Rai.

“We are not thinking about his future with us at the moment. In March or April it will be time to start chatting. He is owned by Inter and has relaunched himself well.”

He concluded: “Unfortunately, I think we are doing a favour, above all for Inter. I think a deal to keep him next season would be very difficult.”

Since returning to Sardinia, the Belgian has made 16 appearances across all competitions. In 1227 minutes on the field, he has scored four goals and provided a handful of assists for his teammates.
