In an interview with Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia television show Sky Calcio Club, Paolo Di Canio has shared his views on Inter’s on-form striker, Romelu Lukaku.

“Lukaku is fundamental for what Inter want to do. He will score lots of goals. When in England, he scored many goals for smaller sides, which is a very difficult thing to do. Even if he does not score against the big teams, other will and he will have been important,” he said.

“On his day he can score big goals and he had chances against Juventus, Roma and Barcelona. Lukaku is a great player now and will become a top player.”

Since his club record €65 million transfer from Premier League side Manchester United, he has went on to represent Inter on 22 occasions across all competitions. In 1843 minutes on the field, he has scored 14 goals and provided three assists for his Nerazzurri teammates.
