Inter’s midfield trio of Stefano Sensi, Marcelo Brozovic and Nicolo Barella will be able to all play again together after the Serie A winter break according to a report in today’s print edition of Tuttosport.
Sensi made a return to action off of the substitutes bench in Saturday’s 4-0 triumph over Genoa, a match which Brozovic missed due to suspension.
Barella also missed the match but rather than suspension it was as a result of an ankle injury. He is expected to return after the winter break.
The Turin newspaper goes on to highlight that the trio, who are widely regarded as Inter’s three best midfielders, have in fact only played five times together.
Their usage together could well be limited past January with it understood that manager Antonio Conte is wanting to bring in another midfielder with Arturo Vidal, Rodrigo de Paul and Dejan Kulusevski, among others, all linked with potential moves to the Nerazzurri.
