Inter are willing to go beyond a simple loan move to bring Arturo Vidal to the club in the upcoming January transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Nerazzurri management had initially seen the Chilean international as a second or third option but he now appears to be the number one target as they look to satisfy the demands of manager Antonio Conte.
Barcelona have been adamant that they will not let Vidal go unless he is bought outright or taken on loan with an obligation to buy and as per the Milanese newspaper’s report, Inter are willing to do the latter to bring him in.
The Blaugrana are understood to value the 32-year-old, who can list Juventus and Bayern Munich as former employers, at around €20 million.
This season Vidal has made 19 appearances across all competitions, in which he has scored five goals and provided a single assist.
