Romelu Lukaku is the real point of reference in Antonio Conte’s Inter side according to a report in today’s print edition of Roman newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

The Belgian international striker has scored 14 goals in 22 appearances across all competitions but there is much more to him than just his goals.

Lukaku is not just a striker who can score goals but also works very hard for the team and makes himself completely available for the team.

He opens up spaces on the park for his teammates to run into and this, among many others, was a reason why Conte wanted him signed at all costs during the Summer. Conte knew that Lukaku would be the perfect striker for the system he had envisioned for the Nerazzurri and he has been proven correct.

Lukaku has also played an integral role in Lautaro Martinez’s form this season. The duo have struck up a solid partnership together in their few months together and both players seem to be bringing the best out of the other.
