Colonnese: “If Vidal Joins Inter Will Become Even Bigger Contenders For The Title”

Former Inter defender Francesco ‘Ciccio’ Colonnese has spoken on the impact made by Antonio Conte at this stage of the 2019/20 Serie A campaign.

“When you choose a certain manager and there is serious planning, the results come with that. Everything has been changed due to Conte. In today’s football you have to work and leave everything on the field. He deserves a lot of the credit for Inter being in first place,” he explained in an interview with TuttoMercatoWeb.

He then spoke on Inter’s in-form strike force of Romelu Lukaku and Lautaro Martinez.

“Lukaku is doing what he was expected to do. Lautaro Martinez has been a great surprise, he is strong and able to do everything.”

Finally he spoke on Inter’s widely reported interest in signing Arturo Vidal from Barcelona in the upcoming January transfer window.

“Vidal? If he is well and plays like how he did at Juventus, he is perfect and Inter will become even bigger contenders for the title.”
