In an interview with PassioneInter.com, former Inter midfielder Luis Jimenez has shared his belief that things will not be easy for Juventus this season due to the likes of Inter and Lazio.

“I really believe that Juventus will have a much more difficult life to win again this year. Inter and other teams are having good seasons,” he started.

Next he spoke on Alexis Sanchez and the kind of impact he thinks his fellow countryman will make.

“Alexis Sanchez returning will help Inter so much. We all know what Sanchez is capable of. I think he is a great player and his return will be fundamental.”

He then spoke on another of his compatriots in Arturo Vidal, who has drawn strong links to Inter ahead of the January transfer window.

“Conte already knows him very well and knows what he can give him. I think Vidal can help Inter a lot.”

Jimenez, who spent two years with Inter between 2007 and 2009 then reminisced about his time in the Nerazzurri shirt.

“Inter was a beautiful stage in my career. I was part of an incredible team full of champions, it was an unforgettable experience. Unfortunately I was injured for most of Mourinho’s first season but it was really fantastic to work with him.”

In conclusion, he spoke on the pressure he felt the night before the final game of the 2007/08 season against Parma, a match that Inter won and won the Serie A title.

“It was a really complicated moment for us. We had had a big advantage over Roma but it was decreasing. Luckily in the last game, everything went the right way.”
