Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa has taken to photo sharing social media platform Instagram to reflect on the past 12 months he has spent out on loan at Flamengo.
The Inter owned striker performed spectacularly for the Rio de Janeiro based club netting no less than 43 goals in 59 appearances across all competitions. His goals helped the side win the Brazilian Serie A title and the Copa Libertadores.
It remains to be seen what the future holds for the 23-year-old but Flamengo have made it absolutely clear that they will try to sign him up on a permanent basis.
“What a spectacular year and how proud I am of this team and the great supporters. Thank you Lord for this year that will be remembered in our hearts! Once Flamengo, Flamengo until death,” he posted.
