Alessandro Bastoni appears set to sign a new and improved contract with Inter according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

The young central defender’s good form this season is set to see him reward with a one year contract extension, which will mean he is under contract with Inter until the end of the 2023/24 season. His annual salary will go up to €1.2 million plus bonuses.

The 20-year-old has featured fairly regularly under Antonio Conte this season and not only does he represent the present for the club but also the future, which the long term contract just goes to show.

Bastoni joined Inter back in 2017 from fellow Serie A club Atalanta, whose academy he had progressed through, and he spent the entirety of last season at Parma, where he was able to learn from the very experienced Bruno Alves.

This season he has made eight appearances across all competitions, in which he has helped the team to keep one clean sheet.
