Both Inter and AC Milan have made enquiries to the representatives of Chris Smalling according to a report in the print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

The Manchester United owned centre back is currently out on loan at Roma and has played very well and managed to get what looked to be a stagnating career at Old Trafford back on track in the Italian capital.

Despite the interest from the two Milanese clubs, the report from the Roman newspaper goes on to stress that Smalling would ultimately like to extend his stay in Rome past the end of this season.

Roma have in fact already made an offer to the Red Devils for the 30-year-old Englishman, which totals €15 million and a few tweaks to the deal could well see it accepted.

Since arriving at the Stadio Olimpico, former Fulham defender Smalling has made 15 appearances across all competitions. In 1350 minutes, he has scored two goals and provided a single assist as well as helping Roma keep six clean sheets.
