Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa is refusing to rule out the possibility of returning to play in Europe according to a report from CalcioMercato.com.

The Brazilian striker has been out on loan at Flamengo since January and the Rio de Janeiro club are wanting to sign him up on a permanent basis.

Contact between the two clubs has been constant as of late and it is understood that there is some distance between the two. Inter value the 23-year-old at €30 million whilst Flamengo are believed to instead value him at €20 million.

Inter hope to be able to sell Gabigol in Europe due to the simple fact that European clubs can spend such big amounts far more easily than Flamengo, despite them being one of South America’s biggest and richest clubs.

The report goes on to state that one thing for sure is that Gabigol will not be returning to Inter for a second bite of the cherry.
