There is a difference of €8 million between Inter’s offer and Barcelona’s demands for midfielder Arturo Vidal according to a report from the online edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter have submitted a €12 million offer for the want-away Chilean international, who Barcelona are demanding a sum of €20 million for.

Inter manager Antonio Conte is pushing for a top midfielder to be brought in to help his side’s bid to end the monopoly that Juventus have had over Italian football for almost the past decade.

Vidal’s arrival could well prove decisive in the end and it is for this reason that Inter management opened themselves up to the idea of signing him on a permanent basis despite previously being adamant that they would not sign him in anything other than a loan deal.

This season 32-year-old Vidal has made 19 appearances across all competitions in which he has scored five goals and provided one assist.
