Matteo Politano could help Inter get over the final hurdle as they continue to try and sign Dejan Kulusevski from Atalanta according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.

Inter and Atalanta are getting closer to striking a deal with €5 million believed to be separating them. Inter have offered €35 million whilst Atalanta continue to demand €40 million.

Whilst that distance between supply and demand is expected to be overcome, Inter and Atalanta still need to convince Parma to agree to cancel Kulusevski’s loan with them.

The 19-year-old Swedish international has starred whilst with the Ducali and club directors have been adamant in interviews that he will be remaining until the end of the season. Inter could offer Matteo Politano to them though as ‘compensation’ in a bid to try and get them to free Kulusevski.

Politano has fallen right down the pecking order at Inter this year and appears to have no natural place in Antonio Conte’s team. He also reportedly has interest in his services from Fiorentina.
