Barcelona have responded to the complaints about unpaid bonuses from last season from Inter target Arturo Vidal today, with Italian media outlet Gazzetta.it reporting their response.
“A unique case in history. Someone pays you a bill, it seems to you that the rules are not respected, then you wait six months without politely warning anyone that there may have been a mistake, and then request that within 24 hours you are paid a certain amount, only when the media publish the news of an interest from another team.”
The Blaugrana continued their defence.
“Mr Vidal’s records show that he has peacefully received payment in accordance with the agreements, and only now, for reasons unknown to us, is he expressing this concern. During these six months, Mr Vidal has not felt it necessary to tell us anything about it.”
The growing rift between the Catalan club and Vidal seems to all but guarantee that the 32-year-old Chilean will be leaving Barcelona in the upcoming January transfer window.
