Inter striker Romelu Lukaku spoke to gathered reporters at the International Sports Conference in Dubai today, discussing his transfer to Inter and his experiences at Manchester United. His words were noted by Italian media outlet FcInterNews.
“The period at Manchester United made me calmer. I don’t look at it in a negative way, it really helped me mentally to be ready, to grow as a player and as a person. It was a pleasant experience for me. I’ll never see it as a bad experience, because it helped me to be where I am today.”
He then touched on how he feels now at Inter after his experiences with the Red Devils.
“Clearly now Inter benefit from all these things, from a sports point of view as well as things off the pitch. I’ve prepared a lot and I’m much calmer. In my head, there is much more serenity and composure. I’m a person who when things don’t go well, I show it through a lot of anger. I’m stronger after the experiences at Manchester United.”
