The future of Inter owned forward Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa is still uncertain, following on from a meeting in Doha between Flamengo CEO Bruno Spindel and the player’s representatives, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 23-year-old Brazilian striker is still unsure whether or not he wants to continue playing in Brazil or returning to Europe. The player, who scored 34 goals and provided 11 assists in 41 appearances for Flamengo this season, had hoped to return to Europe following on from his incredible season in his native country.

Inter are waiting impatiently, the report highlights, as they want to cash in on Gabigol in order to fund important moves in the upcoming January transfer window. So far, the only interest from European clubs is for a loan deal for the 23-year-old striker, not preferable for the Nerazzurri, who would prefer to sell Gabigol outright in order to cash in and close this chapter.
