A report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sports Italia has detailed the current situation of all of Inter’s transfer targets today.

The report begins by highlighting the uncomfortable situation of Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal at Barcelona. The 32-year-old is the Nerazzurri’s main transfer market objective in January and is keen to make the move over to Milan, seemingly forcing his hand in order to reunite with coach Antonio Conte, who he worked under at Juventus earlier in his career.

Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud remains Inter’s primary target for the attack, the report continues. The Frenchman is unhappy with his lack of playing time at the South London club and is keen to earn more time on the pitch in order to convince France coach Didier Deschamps to bring him to Euro 2020.

The alternative to Giroud, the report details, is Spanish forward Fernando Llorente. The Nerazzurri are willing to send Italian forward Matteo Politano on loan to Napoli in exchange for the 34-year-old Spaniard, whose strong physical presence and aerial threat make him an important alternative to Romelu Lukaku.

Finally, the last reinforcement Inter are looking to acquire in January is a new left back, the report adds. The main option here is Parma defender Matteo Darmian, due to the high costs of Chelsea full backs Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri.
