Hellas Verona defender Davide Faraoni has stressed that he will not allow reported interest in his services from several top clubs distract him.

“The interest from Roma, Lazio and Inter in me is very pleasing but I always think just about playing football,” he explained in an interview with Veronese newspaper L’Arena.

“Football is crazy. You play well in three or four games and your name is on everyone’s lips. I am under no illusions and Verona have given me so much. I must only think about securing the club’s position in Serie A.”

The 28-year-old full back is one of several Gialloblu players to have caught Inter’s eye this season with reports in the media also linking Amir Rrahamani, Sofyan Amrabat and Marash Kumbulla to the Nerazzurri club.

Faraoni is no stranger to Inter having spent some years in the club’s academy at the start of the decade. He has been with his current employers since January this year and has made 17 appearances across all competitions this season.

In just over 1500 minutes on the park, Faraoni, who has also played for Udinese, Watford and Crotone, has scored two goals and provided three assists.
