With a deal for Chelsea’s Marcos Alonso looking difficult, Inter are now taking a look at Sporting’s Marcos Acuna according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio
Inter manager Antonio Conte is understood to have placed Alonso at the top of his wish list when it comes to a new full back but Chelsea’s demands have forced Inter into considering other options. Some reports have stated Chelsea want as much as €40 million for him.
28-year-old Acuna has been with his current employers since the Summer of 2017 after he joined from Racing Club, where he was a teammate of current Inter star Lautaro Martinez.
Acuna is primarily a left back but also capable of playing at left wing back and even left wing if so required. This season he has made 21 appearances across all competitions. In 1727 minutes on the field, he has contributed a single goal and a single assist.
