Inter remain confident that they can sign Arturo Vidal from Barcelona in the upcoming January transfer window according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.
Barcelona are well aware that the Chilean international wants to leave the club and continue to want €20 million for him although Inter are hopeful of being able to land him for closer to €15 million.
Vidal’s agent Fernando Felicevich and Inter president Steven Zhang and other members of management are at work trying to get the 32-year-old to Milan in January.
The player has made his feelings absolutely clear and could have an opportunity to do so once more in front of club officials once he returns to training on January 2 having been given some extra time off over the festive period.
The report from the Milanese newspaper states that is is highly unlikely that Inter will be able to get a deal done for Vidal early on in January due to the Spanish Super Cup which is to take place in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia between January 8 and 12.
