A report from Italian broadcaster SportMediaset has highlighted Inter’s transfer situation for the upcoming January transfer window.
The report begins by detailing how Inter’s main priority is signing Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal. The Chilean midfielder is expected to return to Spain on the 2nd January and will clarify his future in the days following. Other targets include Parma defender Matteo Darmian, with the Nerazzurri debating sending Federico Dimarco on loan to the Emilian club in exchange.
The Milanese club are still waiting for Chelsea to lower their requested price for Spanish full back Marcos Alonso, the report continues. Sporting Director Piero Ausilio has offered €5 million for the loan with another €20 million for the redemption, but the South London club still want around €10 million more.
Inter are waiting to assess the condition of Chilean forward Alexis Sanchez, the report adds, before deciding whether to sign a new forward. If the Nerazzurri sell or send away Matteo Politano in January then they will look to replace him with Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud, due to the fact that the proposed loan exchange with Napoli for Fernando Llorente has slowed down.
Finally, the Nerazzurri’s management are looking to cash in on Brazilian forward Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa, the report highlights. The Milanese club want more than the €22 million initially agreed with Flamengo for his signature and are looking to immediately reinvest the money into the squad.
