In an interview with Argentine radio station Radio La Red, Inter vice president Javier Zanetti has spoken on his role at the club.

“I am happy to be the vice president of Inter. I studied and I prepared for the role in order to do my best for the club,” he explained.

He also sang the praises of Inter striker Lautaro Martinez, who he played an influential role in bringing to the club from Racing Club in the Summer of 2018.

“Lautaro is a great player and will do better.”

Zanetti, who spent almost his entire career on Inter’s books and is the club’s record appearance holder, also shared his thoughts on former Inter player Dani Osvaldo’s decision to come out of retirement and attempt to make a return to football.

“I know him well, both on and off the pitch. I know the type of player he is and I know that if he wants it enough and prepares well enough, he can be a great reinforcement for Banfield.”
