In his latest editorial piece for TuttoMercatoWeb, noted Italian football journalist Fabrizio Biasin has commented on Inter’s continued pursuit of Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal.
The 32-year-old Chilean international is widely understood to be Inter’s number one transfer target for the January transfer window and Biasin confirms that Inter president Steven Zhang
“Zhang wants to sign Vidal and certainly wants to please Conte, but right now Barcelona is playing hardball. Inter are working with the Chilean to force the move. Inter have also identified an alternative to Vidal in Cagliari’s Nahitan Nandez,” he explained.
Biasin also provided an update on the condition of some of Inter’s injured players, specifically Nicolo Barella and Alexis Sanchez, who have been sidelined for a number of weeks.
“The best news does not come from the transfer market, if anything it comes from the treatment room. The injured players are returning. Barella and Sanchez will certainly be available to face Napoli on the 6th.”
