Inter Women’s captain Regina Baresi has taken to photo sharing social media platform Instagram to reflect on the past calendar year.
The 28-year-old Italian international captained the team to Serie B glory in the 2018/19 season which meant that Inter Women would compete in Serie A for the first time in the club’s young history.
Baresi, who is the daughter of former Inter captain Giuseppe Baresi, has spent her entire career on Inter’s books and came through the club’s academy before being given her debut back in 2009.
“2019 saw us reach Serie A. With our eyes set on 2020 we must think only about the dreams that we still have to achieve when wearing this shirt. I am proud to represent these colours always. The best is yet to come,” she posted.
