Arturo Vidal is Antonio Conte’s number one priority ahead of the upcoming January transfer window according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport 24.
Inter are continuing in their pursuit to bring the 32-year-old Chilean to the club and their attempts will be helped by the fact that the former Bayern Munich man wants a move to Inter, where he would be reunited with former manager Antonio Conte.
Barcelona do not want to let Vidal leave the club but the player has other ideas. He wishes to move on to a new club where he can play more regularly and feel more central to the club’s project.
The report goes on to explain that Inter had to abandon their pursuit of Atalanta’s Dejan Kulusevski for financial fair play reasons.
They had made a €35 million offer for the 19-year-old Swedish international midfielder but due to the restrictions, they could not make a new bid once arch-rivals Juventus came in with an offer which totalled €45 million.
