Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa has a value of €12.8 million against Inter’s books at the moment a report from football finance experts Calcio e Finanza details.
The 23-year-old Brazilian striker is widely expected to depart the Nerazzurri during the January transfer window and if he is sold for anything more than the above amount then Inter will stand to make a capital gain.
Gabigol joined the club in a €33.1 million deal from Santos back in 2016 as one of Suning’s first purchases upon buying a majority stake in the club from Erick Thohir.
Should he be sold for a sum of €20 million, Inter would make a capital gain of €7.2 million and would save €2.5 million in amortisation meaning there would be a positive impact of €9.7 million in total against the club’s financial statements.
Flamengo are extremely interested in signing Gabigol permanently off the back of a high successful loan spell whilst West Ham United and Crystal Palace have both also been linked with moves for him.
