In an interview with Milanese newspaper Corriere della Sera, Stefano Pioli has spoken on the difference between the Inter and AC Milan teams that he inherited.
“Inter were a much more experienced team, with more defined dynamics, therefore they were even more difficult to change. Here at AC Milan, I found a younger, more open team, which I would say is more ductile,” he explained.
Pioli took charge of Inter in November 2017 and succeeded Frank de Boer on the bench at the Nerazurri. Pioli got his time in charge off to a great start winning 12 of his first 16 but a run of poor form followed and he was sacked before the end of the season.
He took charge of AC Milan back in October and has so far managed the Rossoneri in 10 matches across all competitions but has ultimately struggled to turn things round with them winning just three of these matches.
