Christian Eriksen has decided that he wants to leave Tottenham Hotspur during the January transfer window according to a report from The Athletic.
The Danish playmaker’s contract with the north London club is due to expire come the end of the season but it would appear that he cannot wait that long to get away from the 2018/19 Champions League runners-up.
Eriksen, who has been with the club since 2013 following a move from Dutch powerhouses Ajax, has already communicated his decision to club management but the report does not explain how they have taken it.
Real Madrid and Manchester United are both understood to be interested in him but the report states that it is in fact Inter who are in pole position to sign him.
This season the 27-year-old has made 22 appearances across all competitions. In just over 1200 minutes on the park, Eriksen has scored three goals and provided just as many assists for his teammates.
