Inter have had their first offer for Marcos Acuna rejected by Sporting according to a report in today’s print edition of Portuguese newspaper O Jogo.

The Nerazzurri club made an offer worth a total of €10 million for the Argentine full back but this offer falls €10 million short of the Lisbon giants’ €20 million demands for him.

Inter offered €1 million to take the 28-year-old on loan for the remainder of the season with a €9 million obligation to buy attached.

Inter are not alone in liking the former Racing Club player, who has been plying his trade in Portugal for the past two and a half years.

Fellow Serie A club Napoli are also believed to have taken a liking to Acuna and they do not wish to spend a penny more than €15 million.

This season Acuna has made 21 appearances across all competitions. In 1727 minutes on the field, he has scored one goal and provided one assist.
