Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde has reiterated to Arturo Vidal that he continues to see him as an important player in his team according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

Vidal is understood to want out of Barcelona to join Inter, where he would be reunited with former manager Antonio Conte, but Valverde is reluctant to let him go and made that clear to the player in their meeting that took place on Thursday afternoon.

Arthur’s injury, that will keep him sidelined for a few weeks, has only further complicated things with Barcelona unlikely to let Vidal depart at least until the Brazilian is back.

Barcelona are understood to want at least €20 million to part ways with the 32-year-old Chilean midfielder meaning Inter will need to up their reported offer for him.

Barcelona will let him go outright or even in a loan with obligation to buy deal. The reason for this is because Barcelona do not trust Inter after they did not take up their option to sign Rafinha a few seasons back.

Inter will try their utmost to get the reigning Spanish champions to drop their demands for the former Juventus player, who they have already agreed personal terms with.

Vidal has accepted a two and a half year deal from Inter that will see him earn €4.5 million between now and the end of the season and then €6 million for each of the next two full seasons.
