A report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport suggests Inter will sign Arturo Vidal in this transfer window and Christian Eriksen in the next one in order to form a super midfield.

Vidal is Inter’s number one transfer target and the report states that he should end up at Inter at some point during this transfer window from Barcelona.

Eriksen on the other hand has an expiring contract with Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur and can therefore sign a pre-contract agreement with clubs now.

Inter are one of several clubs to have taken a keen interest in the 27-year-old Danish playmaker with Manchester United and Real Madrid both also understood to be interested in him.

Although Inter are targeting a Summer move, the report goes on to explain that Eriksen would be willing to join Inter as early as this window if a deal can be worked out.

It is likely that his next contract, wherever that may be, will be on similar terms to his Spurs contract. He is seeking a five year contract and around €15 million in wages per season.

Whilst the amount is perhaps out of Inter’s reach, if the player really wants the move then Inter will try and do everything to satisfy his demands.
