Federico Chiesa could be set to sign a contract renewal with Fiorentina that would see him double his wages according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere della Sera.
The winger, who is widely regarded as one of the top Italian prospects out there at the moment, looked set to leave La Viola as relations broke down but his father, Enrico, who is also his agent, has amended relations and the feeling is that a renewal could be close.
The 22-year-old is under contract with the Florence based club until the end of the 2021/22 season and the new contract, which is unlikely to be ironed out at least until nearer the end of this month, could come with a release clause attached.
The report goes on to add that in the Summer, Chiesa is likely to make a definitive decision on his immediate future.
Inter and Juventus are both long term admirers of Chiesa, who has three goals and five assists in 15 appearances this season.
