Ahead of Napoli’s match against Inter on Monday night, Corriere dello Sport have examined Napoli manager Gennaro Gattuso’s record against Inter both as a player and a manager.
As a player, Gattuso won 16 of his 31 matches played against the Nerazzurri across all competitions including some memorable wins in the Champions League.
The former AC Milan midfielder has not had the same level of luck though since becoming a manager. He has faced Inter four times during his management career and beaten Inter just once. His sides drew one and lost the remaining two.
Monday night’s match at the Stadio San Paolo will pit table toppers Inter against an under-achieving Napoli, who find themselves down in eighth place at the half way stage of the 2019/20 Serie A season.
Inter have won three of their last five games in the league whilst Napoli are on a poor run having won just one of their last five.
