Contact between Inter and Tottenham Hotspur over Christian Eriksen is ongoing according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.

The two clubs have held talks in recent weeks, recent days and perhaps even more talks today to as Inter look to bring in the 27-year-old Danish playmaker, whose contract is due to expire at the end of the season.

Inter had originally wanted to attempt to bring him in on a free transfer but could go all in for him in the next weeks, the report goes on to explain. It ultimately all depends on what other clubs who have also reportedly ignited an interest in signing him do.

Eriksen has been with the north London club for the past six and a half years and is understood to be seeking a new challenge.

This season Eriksen has made 23 appearances across all competitions. In almost 1300 minutes, he has scored three goals and provided as many assists.
