Italian Report Explains Why Lautaro Martinez Can Break Recent Goal Drought In Tomorrow’s Match With Napoli

Lautaro Martinez could put an end to his recent goal drought in tomorrow night’s Serie A match away to Napoli according to a report in today’s print edition of Corriere dello Sport.

This season the 22-year-old has shown he can score goals in games against big teams as evidenced by his goals scored in matches against Juventus, Barcelona and Borussia Dortmund.

Lautaro has scored 13 goals in 22 appearances across all competitions but has not found the back of the net since his brace in the 2-1 home win over SPAL at the beginning of December.

The report does however go on to state that there is so much more to Lautaro and his game than simply getting on the scoresheet with him now having become a key cog in manager Antonio Conte’s system.

It also states that Inter will attempt to sign him to a new and improved contract in the coming months in an attempt to deter the reported interest in his services from other clubs such as Barcelona.
