West Ham United and Bordeaux have pulled out of the race to sign Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud according to a report from French football show Téléfoot.

Giroud has drawn strong links to Inter and is understood to want to make the switch to Milan during this transfer window and it is due to this that the Premier League and Ligue 1 club’s have dropped their interest.

The veteran Frenchman has struggled for game time this season with the blues and wants out of the club in order to get more regular playing time in order to give him the best chance at being involved in France’s squad for EURO 2020 this Summer.

The report also goes on to stress that there has been no concrete interest from Lyon in signing him, contrary to other reports doing the rounds in the media.

This season Giroud has made just seven appearances across all competitions. In 282 minutes on the park, he has contributed a single goal.
