Barring an irrefutable offer arriving, Arturo Vidal will not be allowed to leave Barcelona during this transfer window according to a report from Spanish newspaper Sport.

Barcelona manager Ernesto Valverde recently met with the 32-year-old Chilean international and assured him that he still sees him as an important player and will give him the minutes he craves.

Vidal seemingly wants out of the club amid interest from Inter and Valverde is understood to have asked him to stay in Catalonia at least until the end of the season.

Both Barcelona and Vidal are well aware that it is more than just a simple interest from Inter, who are understood to see the former Juventus man as their top transfer target and have already submitted an offer.

This season Vidal, who has 18 months to run on his deal with the reigning Spanish champions, has made 20 appearances across all competitions. In 811 minutes, he has scored six goals and tallied one assist.
