Flamengo are the only club currently in negotiations with Inter over Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa according to a report in today’s print edition of Gazzetta dello Sport.
The 23-year-old starred whilst out on loan at the Rio de Janeiro based club last year and they have far from hid their desire to sign him up on a permanent basis.
Several other clubs around the world have all been linked with making a move for him, with Premier League side Chelsea the latest to be linked, but none of the reportedly interested clubs other to Flamengo have had any talks with Inter.
Gabigol is back at Inter following the expiration of his loan deal with Flamengo on December 31 2019 but is not expected to be with the club past this transfer window.
As per various reports, Inter and Flamengo already have a deal in principle over the former Santos man but his wages are proving to be an obstacle.
