Juventus remain hopeful that they could still sign striker Mauro Icardi from arch-rivals Inter in the Summer transfer window according to a report from CalcioMercato.com.
The 26-year-old Argentine is currently out on loan at Ligue 1 outfit Paris Saint Germain, who have an option to turn his stay in the French capital into a permanent one for a sum of €70 million.
It looks likely that they will take up this option with Icardi having been in fine form since his arrival but the report warns that Icardi could scupper these plans.
The reason for this is because the former Sampdoria player has an option to veto a permanent move to the Parc des Princes.
Juventus have a long standing interest in signing Icardi from their arch-rivals but it remains to be seen if Inter would even entertain the idea.
This season, Icardi has made 18 appearances across all competitions. In 1163 minutes on the park, he has scored 14 goals and provided three assists.
