Marcos Acuna’s agent Marcello Simonian is expected to soon arrive in Europe to try and broker a deal for his client to land at Inter according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

Having been priced out of moves for Chelsea pair Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri, Inter decided to direct their attention toward the 28-year-old Argentine international.

Sporting are understood to value the former Racing Club player at €20 million but Inter are hopeful of being able to get him for less than that.

If unable to sign Acuna, Inter have already got the back-up plan sorted. The Nerazzurri have a deal in place with Parma over Matteo Darmian and have already agreed personal terms with the former Manchester United player.

Inter helped Parma to bring Darmian back to Italy this past Summer and Darmian is widely expected to join Inter in the Summer but could end up arriving early depending on how Inter’s pursuit of Acuna pans out.
