Inter are ready to raise their offer for Barcelona’s Arturo Vidal following a meeting with his agent according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset.

Inter chief executive Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta met with Fernando Felicevich on Sunday at the club’s training ground and it is because of this meeting that Inter have been convinced to up their offer for the 32-year-old Chilean international.

As per the report, Inter are now willing to insert an obligation to buy into their loan move for the former Juventus man. In order for this to happen though, the sale of Gabriel ‘Gabigol’ Barbosa is absolutely essential.

The report goes on to add that Inter are also at work trying to sign Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen on a free transfer.

The 27-year-old’s contract with Spurs is up at the end of the season therefore clubs can now approach him on a pre-contract basis. If Inter are unable to secure Vidal, they could always try and bring Eriksen to the club this month instead.
