Napoli have sped up in their pursuit of Hellas Verona’s Sofyan Amrabat amid interest in him from Inter according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.

Napoli have already agreed terms with the Gialloblu over a double deal worth €35 million that would see them land both Amrabat and Amir Rrahmani but the Partenopei are yet to agree personal terms.

Cristiano Giuntoli, Napoli’s sporting director, is due to meet with Moroccan international Amrabat’s agents today to discuss personal terms but Inter are also pressing to try and reach an agreement with the player before going on to deal with Hellas Verona.

Amrabat will be unable to join either Napoli or Inter until the Summer transfer window though. This is because FIFA rules only permit players to play for two clubs in a single season and Amrabat, on top of playing for Hellas Verona, has also represented Belgian side Club Brugge.
