Inter have agreed terms with Premier League outfit Chelsea’s French international striker Olivier Giroud, Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia’s transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

According to the report, the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner’s representatives met with Inter’s directors earlier today to discuss the player’s personal terms and an agreement in principle was found between the parties.

However, the Nerazzurri are yet to find an agreement with Chelsea as Inter are not keen on meeting the Blues asking price of €8-10 million, and are currently offering half of that.

Furthermore, it is reported that Inter are only interested in signing the former Arsenal striker during this transfer window. This means that if an agreement between the parties isn’t found the Nerazzurri will not return to try and sign him in the summer, when his contract with Chelsea expires.

If the clubs find an agreement, Giroud would be tied to Inter until the end of June 2022.
