Chelsea’s French international striker Olivier Giroud will become an Inter player early next week, Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia’s transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio reports.

According to the report, the distance between the two clubs has been reduced to €1 million with the Premier League outfit asking for €5 million plus another €1 million in add-ons, something the Nerazzurri do not consider unreasonable.

Therefore, after this weekends action in the Serie A and the Premier League, representatives from both clubs will meet again to wrap up the final details before rubber stamping the transfer.

Should the 2018 FIFA World Cup winner join Inter he would be reunited with former Arsenal teammate Alexis Sanchez, with whom he won 2 FA Cups and Community shield when playing together.

Giroud played for Arsenal for 5,5 seasons representing the club 253 times across all competitions scoring 105 goals and winning 3 FA cups and 3 community shields.

In January 2018 Giroud signed for London rivals Chelsea and since then he has featured 70 times across all competitions scoring 19 goals, winning 1 FA Cup and the Europa League.
