Inter have been offered the opportunity to sign Arsenal defender Shkodran Mustafi according to a report from FCInterNews.it.

Mustafi is no stranger to Italian football having previously played for Sampdoria and is largely expected to depart Arsenal during this window having fallen out of favour at the Emirates Stadium.

The German centre back drew links to Inter a few seasons ago before the club eventually opted to sign Lisandro Lopez but could go in for him especially if Diego Godin is to leave the club.

Godin has found himself benched for the past few weeks and speculation has been rife in the media that he could be headed for the exit door this month, just six months after his arrival on a free transfer after his deal with Atletico Madrid expired.

The report goes on to state that as things stand, Godin has shown no desire to leave the Nerazzurri though.
