Kwadwo Asamoah will not be part of the Inter squad for Saturday evening’s Serie A match at home to Atalanta according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia.

The Ghanaian defender has been struggling with a knee cartilage issue as of late and looked set to return for the match against the Bergamo club but left training early on Friday due to the injury.

It remains unclear if he will be available to manager Antonio Conte for Tuesday night’s Coppa Italia clash with Cagliari.

The report goes on to explain that Matias Vecino meanwhile trained regularly with his teammates and will be in the squad, contrary to reports in the media suggesting otherwise.

The Uruguayan sustained a small injury in training and it looked like he may have missed out. It is unclear if he will be in good enough condition to start or will have to settle for starting from the bench.
