Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal hasn’t changed his mind and still wants to join Inter, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews today.
The report details how the 32-year-old Chilean told his agent yesterday that he still wants to join Inter, despite rumours that Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde is close to being dismissed.
An agreement with the Nerazzurri has already been reached – €4.5 million plus bonuses from now until June, and then a two-year contract worth €6 million net per season.
The possible dismissal of Valverde hasn’t changed Vidal’s mind, the report highlights, and is still set on moving to Milan. This is why he is still at the top of Beppe Marotta and Antonio Conte’s transfer list, with the duo confident they can sign the player before the end of the month.
Between Monday and Tuesday next week new conversations with Barcelona are expected, the report adds. Inter are ready to raise their offer to €12 million for the loan and redemption fee, whilst the Catalan club want €20 million. Suning Group, Inter’s owners, aren’t prepared to go past €15 million.
