Inter are working towards a summer signing of Brescia starlet Sandro Tonali, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.

The report details how the Nerazzurri met with lawyer Beppe Bozzo on Wednesday, in order to meet Tonali’ agent, Roberto La Florio. It was a meeting where Inter confirmed their interest and wanted to understand where to begin the negotiations, with the aim of signing the Italian teenager in the summer.

The reason that the Nerazzurri would prefer a summer deal is because coach Antonio Conte wants a more experienced midfielder this month, with Barcelona midfielder Arturo Vidal being the top choice.

Another reason, the report continues, is because Brescia president Massimo Cellino doesn’t want to lose his team’s star in the middle of the season.

Juventus are also looking to sign Tonali in the summer, due to the fact that coach Maurizio Sarri has too many midfielders at his disposal. Both teams will now be looking for an agreement in advance with Brescia for Tonali.
